Running for health..

Recently i have become very health conscious. Although most of this consciousness is due my inner fear for a heart attack or something as scary as that. Today as i was walking down the hallway, in office, a colleague of mine asked me if would like to go for a walk on a nearby trail which is around 5km ( to and fro ). I felt very excited about this idea. Finally found some opportunity to do something good for health. I do not get motivated otherwise to go for jogging or run on a treadmill.
My colleague gathered 2 more guys and we started off at around 11:30AM. The walk was really good. Did not realize how 1 hour passed till the time we reached office campus again. Different threads of discussion on variety of topics made the 5km walk really thrilling. I enjoyed my lunch more than i usually do. Indeed i realized that such walks are not only good for your body, but also for your mind. A mindless walk gives you opportunity to burn some calories as well as to channelize your thoughts and relax. Hope to make this a regular habit, at least for my heart's sake ;-)!

Why am i blogging

Because many others do. And recently i have found some extra time to kill. So why not use it in a fruitful way. My enthusiasm does not stay for long. Who knows this could be the only post in this page!
